The position: Freelance senior copywriter for House Party

Location: Irvington, N.Y.

Job duties: Will be responsible for creating communication copy including landing pages, direct mail, e-mail, promotional media, Web pages and blogs. Will collaborate with designers, art directors, account managers and event producers. Will be expected to actively participate in creative, production and client meetings and pitch event positioning to clients. Must manage the creation of all copy elements for large engagements and events using client and research resources.

The company: House Party is an advertising/promotions firm that produces events for client companies, many of whom are major brands. The company's concept involves throwing "house parties" in multiple homes simultaneously, where customers — who serve as brand ambassadors — can try out products or see a demonstration along with their family and friends. The events can then be viewed online in real time via a Web site specially created for the event.

Requirements: Requires college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to oversee both tiny little details as well as the broad creative concepts. Five years of copywriting experience is necessary, ideally including social media or content for a community site. Should be able to demonstrate proven success with both online and offline copy, with an emphasis on call-to-action messaging. Skill set should include a combination of marketing, advertising, digital content and problem solving. Must have strong editing and writing skills, with proofreading experience a major plus.
